CompCHOICE was certified by the Oklahoma State Department of Health in January 1996 and began providing comprehensive services for the very first client in March of that year. Since then, CompCHOICE has continually invested in systems and processes to improve service to clients, including the development of a comprehensive data collection and tasking system, access to national medical practice standards and protocols as established by InterQual, Official Disability Guidelines and Medical Disability Advisor, along with multiple layers of quality assurance processes to ensure application consistency.

In addition to systems, CompCHOICE has developed and maintains a dedicated staff of registered nurse professionals to provide all aspects of case management. Many staff members have advanced certifications, including Certified Case Manager (CCM).
